AV Systems Integrator (Level II)

We’re looking for an experienced AV Systems Integrator who can deliver top-quality installations, exceptional customer service, and contribute to a growing, innovative team.

Position Summary

The AV Systems Integrator is a Level 1-3 role that is responsible for installing, configuring, programming and troubleshooting advanced audio, video, networking, and automation systems in custom home and luxury residential and commercial environments. This position requires hands-on technical expertise, and professional communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation and setup of multi-room audio/video systems and smart home solutions, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting expertise for various systems and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Install and configure basic networking and data systems.
  • Program and configure single-room systems, including advanced setups.
  • Possess a solid understanding of multi-room systems and security system programming and design.
  • Train clients on operating their systems and connected devices.
  • Represent NuWave Automation with professionalism and clear communication.
More specific responsibilities in key areas are outlined below:

Hardware & Device Installation

  • Install and calibrate multi-room and home theater audio systems (Sonos, surround, matrix switchers).
  • Mount and align TVs, projectors, screens, and subwoofers.
  • Install door access systems, security cameras, and NVR/DVRs.
  • Build, wire, and label professional-grade AV racks.

Networking & Configuration

  • Configure routers, switches, and access points (Eero, Unifi, etc.).
  • Assign static IPs, manage VLANs, and troubleshoot connectivity.
  • Integrate AV and smart devices into residential networks.
  • Optimize Wi-Fi mesh systems for large homes.

Control & Automation

  • Install and configure automation systems such as Control4 and Lutron RA3.
  • Program and test lighting, shading, and entertainment scenes under senior supervision.
  • Load firmware/software updates and verify functionality.

Cabling & Infrastructure

  • Plan and execute structured cabling layouts independently.
  • Build, label, and dress cable pathways for long-term serviceability.
  • Pull and terminate cabling through conduit and plenum spaces.
  • Install and terminate patch panels, racks, and wiring infrastructure.
  • Perform and document cable certifications and testing.

Electrical & Codes

  • Apply NEC/IBC low-voltage standards and safe electrical practices.
  • Coordinate with licensed electricians when connecting to power.
  • Understand and troubleshoot power, grounding, and bonding issues across AV and network systems.

System Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Perform end-to-end system testing (audio, video, networking, security).
  • Diagnose and resolve signal flow or network issues.
  • Use professional test instruments (multimeters, toners, signal generators, and cable certifiers).
  • Document solutions, configurations, and any changes.

Job Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of related experience in AV, networking, or home automation installation.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling, IP networking, and low-voltage systems.
  • Proficient in AV, lighting, network/WIFI systems, and programming
  • Preferred Certifications: Control4 (CA/CCP), Lutron (RA2/RA3), CompTIA Network+, OSHA 10/30.
  • Familiarity with Control4, Lutron, or similar automation platforms preferred.
  • Comfortable using tools, ladders, and working in crawl spaces or attics.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer
  •  service mindset.

Job Details

This job is based in the metro Atlanta area. It is a full-time role Monday-Friday from 9-6 pm ET. You must have your own reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and able to commute across the metro Atlanta area.
The job has a Level 1/II/III progression, and the pay is commensurate with the tier level you are hired for, and the pay is varied based on your level of experience and education.
